Installing Custom presets

Enrich addon

Notes

Presets are a powerful feature in Enrich that allows you to try out a plethora of looks on your render in just a few clicks. While Enrich addon comes with a set of default presets, it also allows you to install your node groups as presets which can later be used just like any other preset.

To install a custom preset in Enrich:

  • Start by creating a node setup in the compositor of your desired look.

  • Add the nodes of that look in a new node group(CTRL+G for creating a new node group from selected nodes).

  • Make sure this node group has an 'Image' input and an 'Image' output. This is required for every preset in Enrich.

  • Add additional inputs to the node group. These will be used as the preset settings in the Enrich panel.

  • Once the node group is created correctly, select the node group, open the sidebar(or properties panel) by pressing 'N', and go to the 'Item' tab.

  • In the 'Item' tab, 'Enrich Custom Preset' section can be found. This panel will tell whether the node group can be installed as a valid Enrich preset.

  • Once all the conditions are met, click on the 'Save as preset' button.

  • A popup appears. Enter the name for the preset and click on either 'Generate thumbnail' or 'Choose thumbnail' button.

    • 'Generate thumbnail' button would generate a thumbnail for the custom preset automatically.

    • 'Choose thumbnail' button would open the file browser where a custom image can be selected for the thumbnail.

  • The preset should now be installed 🎉
